Still In Esperance

Today we got up really early again. Before it was light in fact, like we always do. I read a book called 'Last Term at Malory Towers', I'm reading it at the moment. It's really good. My brother and I got up before mum and dad. First my brother had breakfast, then I did. I had cereal for breakfast like usual.

When we got up we were going to have a look around again (yippee!! NOT.). Well, I guess it was ok. At least we got booked in on a cruise for tomorrow. I can't wait. The cruise sounds really nice. Dolphines. Sea lions. Well, maybe. Anyway, thats not the point. The point is what happened today.

After a while we started driving to Cape Le Grande National Park. Beautiful. Just BEAUTIFUL. Well, not THAT beautiful, but beautiful. We went to Le Grande beach first. It was really nice.
We walked along the beach for a while, jumping over a little water cut that ran form the sea. Even though it was cloudy, it was a really amazing beach. There were little dead fish everywhere along the shore. Dad and my brother started fishing too. I put my feet in the water with mum a little bit meanwhile. Soon we left. The next beach was…

Hellfire Bay. I loved it there. There was this steep rock on the side and that was where we sat. There were rocks down the bottom where I played nearly the whole time. My brother and I played with cuttle fish bones (we used them as boats). I had a great time at Hellfire Bay. I also loved…

Lucky Bay. We got out of the car there and had lunch. I had a roll filled with mayonnaise, cheese and capsicum. I also had a banana. All the others had and apple, a mandarine and an orange. We had our fruit after our roll. I love self-made, home-made lunches. We talked to some other people who are just down the road in our caravan park.

When we had finished we went down to the water. Sadly, it wasn't the actual beach. It was another rocky place on the side of the bay where we were. I did in fact have a good time. I love climbing the big rocks now. At first I didn't trust myself to go across the thirty centimetres of rushing water. But at last I did do it and I climbed the rock on the other side.
I also climbed the rock which led up to the monument on the small hill above us.

Dad and my brother were fishing again too. My bother caught a little Gar fish. We decided to take it home and see what it tasted like, even though it was TINY!! We also saw a Spanish Lady (a fish, not an actual human!). It's a sort of floppy sting ray thing. It looks like a piece of rock or weed. They were really funny to watch. We saw at least three where we were. Afterwards we went to…

Thistle Cove. We wen to see the whistling rock first. It's a sort of wave rock where the wind goes up it and whistles. Then we went to see the beach. It was quite a sight. I used a little dent in the rock as a huddle hole. This is because it is wind sheltered and comfortable. Quite comfortable actually. I didn't want to leave it, but I had to.

Then we went back to the caravan. Well, not exactly. My brother and dad were fishing no the Tanker Jetty while I went to Brumby's, which is a bakery. We got two knot rolls, (one with seeds and one without) and two cereal rolls. We also got vanilla slice and a little bit of brownie for dessert today. We went and picked up the fishermen and went back to the caravan.

We had a dinner of mashed potato, sausages and a tiny bit of Gar fish that my brother caught (see paragraph eight, line one.). It was ok. The fish was filled with bones though. That's one reason why I don't like to eat fish but always try it. Then we had the mashed potato and sausages. After dinner we all wrote our journals, had ashore and went to bad. What a brilliant day!!!!!!
