Port Hedland

We woke up in the morning to a still cloudy and windy day. We had a nice breakfast and soon hooked the caravan onto the car. We were off to Port Hedland. In the car I really just listened to my iPod. After a few hundred kilometres, we arrived. We then drove to South Hedland, where we were staying. Our caravan park was called Black Rock Tourist Park. We got site one hundred and eight and set up the caravan. After about ten minutes we drove off again to do some shopping. We drove into Port Hedland and drove to the shopping centre.

We went into Coles and started our big shop. This was because all our next stops until Broome will be stations, so there won't be anywhere to shop. We shopped for some food and some other stuff. We soon drove back to the caravan and had lunch. Then we drove off to have a look at the place.

We went to the visitors centre and my brother and I watched a video about the iron ore. The longest iron ore train in record was seven point three five three kilometres long. It had six hundred and eighty-two carriages and eight engines. All of them had six thousand horsepower engines. It was really interesting.

We also went to have a look at the places where you can fish and dad, my brother and I found some magnificent shells while mum stayed in the car. We also went to have a look at the enormous salt piles. We ran up to the lookout just in time to catch the REALLY long train coming through. It was fun to watch it come under the bridge that your standing on and look at the top of the carriages.

We soon drove back home and had dinner. It was beef stroganoff for a change. It was DELICIOUS! We soon went to bed at last. I had a brilliant time watching all those trains!!!

Saya melihat besar kapal.
Lima puluh besar kapal.
